Abstract

This study investigates the integration of the Research Skills Development Framework (RSDF) with technological innovation in Islamic higher education contexts, with a focus on fostering academic independence. It explores how RSDF principles can synergize with technological tools to enhance research capacity and scholarly autonomy within Islamic institutions. Drawing on a mixed-methods approach, including literature review, qualitative interviews, and quantitative surveys, the research examines the challenges, opportunities, and implications of this integration. Findings highlight the potential of technology to facilitate access to knowledge, collaboration among scholars, and dissemination of research findings, while upholding Islamic values and principles. Case studies illustrate successful implementations of RSDF integration with technology in Islamic higher education. The study underscores the importance of incorporating RSDF principles into research training programs and professional development initiatives for faculty members and researchers. It also emphasizes the need for strategic planning and resource allocation to support the integration of RSDF with technology in Islamic higher education institutions. Overall, the research contributes to the discourse on promoting research excellence and academic autonomy in Islamic higher education through innovative approaches.
