Abstract
This research explores empowerment strategies in Islamic higher education, specifically focusing on research skill development frameworks and technology integration to enhance academic writing. Through qualitative analysis, the study investigates the implementation of empowerment strategies at various Islamic higher education institutions, aiming to uncover their effectiveness in fostering student agency, critical thinking, and academic writing proficiency. The findings reveal the importance of creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment that empowers students to engage actively in the academic writing process. Additionally, technology integration emerges as a powerful tool for facilitating access to information, promoting collaboration, and enriching the learning experience. By combining empowerment strategies with technology-enabled learning tools and platforms, educators can create dynamic and engaging learning environments that prepare students for success in the digital age. The study concludes with policy and practice implications for Islamic higher education, emphasizing the need for tailored empowerment programs, investments in technology infrastructure, and equitable access to digital resources. Furthermore, recommendations for future research include longitudinal studies to assess the long-term impact of empowerment strategies and technology integration on academic writing proficiency and student outcomes.
